91. Bryrup Lang Lake and Karl Lake
The conservation area around these lakes covers about 125 hectares. When the ice melted the melt water formed the valley with the lakes as it streamed in a north westerly direction. There are parking places and walking routes around the lakes.

   The game preserve stones
by Grædstrup, Underup and Kodal. A granite game preserve stone marked the boundary of the game preserve in the Skanderborg Cavalry District. A few of these stones remain.


93. Ring Wood
near Brædstrup, belongs to the Mattrup Estate. Bryrup’s Railway line footpath runs through the wood. There is an information board at the entrance to the wood.


94. Vestbirk Waterpower Station
is still working. Beside the station there is an exhibition with information. Vestbirk Knitwear Factory used waterpower from the River Gudenå from the middle of the 19th Century, but after a fire the factory was replaced by a regular waterpower station.


95. The line followed by Bryrup Railway
was known unofficially as »Denmark’s most picturesque railway line«. The line from Horsens to Bryrup was opened in 1899 and was extended as far as Silkeborg in 1929. After nearly 70 years of railway traffic the line was taken over by walkers, cyclists and horsemen in 1968.


96. Slaggård Banke and Vorbjerg Mound
There is a large concentration of barrows in the area, some protected others ploughed over. The area’s highest placed group is to be found 100 metres above sea level on the edge of the Gudenå River valley. Cattle graze in this high region and maintaining the wonderful view.

   Regional farm Stjernholm
near Niim is run by Brædstrup’s local Regional Society as a local museum with local collections.


98. Uldum Mill
was rebuilt on the original spot in 1895 after a fire. A group of Uldum citizens bought the mill in 1982 and it has since been restored and reopened as mill in 1992. The mill grinds organic flour on an old fashioned stone grinding mill.


99. Tamdrup Church
is one of the oldest, largest and most mysterious in the Country. The main part of the building is a large early Romanesque basilica from around. 1125 A.D. with the remains of the oldest frescoes in the Country. At around 1200 A.D. scenes of Harold Bluetooth and the Christianizing of Demark were portrayed on the golden alter.


100. Bygholm Lake and Jættestue (gallery grave)
Bygholm Lake was created by the damming up of Bygholm River in 1920 in order to produce electricity. At the south end of Bygholm Lake is a gallery grave.


109. Yding Forte
was a cattle track from the village of Yding over the common field to Yding Wood to the east of the village. The County of Vejle and the people of Yding have reopened the track which now can be used as a path into the wood.
